Bush Walking Packages
We can point you to a huge range of bush walking and mountain climbing in the Bundawangs that watch over this part of the NSW South Coast.
The range varies from 2 hour walks to 3 day walks, and our SurfHouse here can provide you with the ultimate base from which to explore.
Here is a sample of the available walks.

Mt Bushwalker
Recently restored after the bush fires of 2020, Mt Bushwalker is a family friendly, relatively flat walk from the car park that ends up at a stunning lookout. It is about 1.5 to 2 hour return walk. Florence Head and Rushdon Head walks, Pointer Gap lookout and Porters Creek Dam also afford two other stops while out in that part of the ranges.

Pigeon House
This is a combination walk consisting of short steep inclines, saddle walks and ladders. It is the most famous walk in the region and is a good 3 hour return from the car park.

The Castle
This is the penultimate climb. It is a solid 10 hours return from the car park and many do it more leisurely with an over night camp up at Cooyoo Creek.
It is strenuous and is best done with someone who has climbed it before. The last section requires rock climbing skills and an ability to following rock markings to stay safe. It is an incredibly satisfying challenge for the fit.
